Well, I was going to say Holy Cats!!!! I've crawled under the dining room table, assumed the fetal position, and reverted to sucking my thumb after watching that. No No No

CB ... I'm sure you've already seen it, but there will be a LOT of genuine, manly pride in that young man. Years ago, I crossed paths with a new graduate at the truckstop/bus station in Manning SC ... and bought that young man a Mtn. Dew. It was an HONOR on my part to do so. He did NOT have any family in attendance and was on his way home somewhere n New England. I wish Kyle well and THANK HIM for his service.

Ark, the c.t. scans showed that I have scarring on my lungs, don't know what from, and it also shows that I have scoliosis (not sure of spelling) in my spine, that is why I can not stand up straight, at this point it is too bad to be able to get it corrected, the scarring is not bad so it does not affect me, all my blood work came back normal except for hypercalcemia (not sure what that is) I am going to see a oncologist specialist as soon as I can get an appointment believe it or not I am pretty healthy, the doctor told me that most people of my age and length of time being diabetic have a lot more complications, she is pleased that I work with my doctors to do what is right to keep me healthy I don't get colds, flu, ,, so now I just have to figure out deal with my back
Well got to eat dinner hope all is well with everyone

sunny, I don't like that word "onocologist" not one bit. you can google hypercalcium or however u spell it, something to do with parathyroid and hormone it secretes. that's all I really know. good luck.

Well, we r headed back home, we r taking another route home that may be easier, but atlanta ga had so many flippin accidents it really held us up....sat for hours and then stop and go for over 100 miles. a semi changed lanes going up a mountain tonight in tennessee, and pulled over on top of me, I took to the berm and slowed, only thing saved us was being in a small car where I could do that, but I don't think he even saw us....may have been in his blind spot. I pulled off at a rest stop to quit shakin in my sneakers and to change my drawers!

Kyle is in okla now for his next training school, and we dropped his mom and dad off at airport in charlotte nc and now we r in nashville....not quite halfway yet, oh well, we will be home tomorrow. ill be happy to see my critters and sleep in own bed.

Sweet dreams y'all.

SUNNY:
It sounds like you mostly got good news. Did they talk about your neck pain? Let us know what the oncologist says.....

CB
Welcome home! How many miles did you travel? That was a fast trip!

GRAYMARE:
Speaking of physical therapy....I did something new last Thursday at the P.T. The super tight muscle in my upper left thigh that has been tight for a year got "dry needled". That is like a cross between acupuncture and pressure point therapy, I had never heard of it. It is supposed to cause the muscle to relax. This muscle is probably largely responsible for my opposing hip joint issue. So this guy sticks a long, skinny needle into my rather delicate upper thigh. Did it hurt? Not at first. But then he hit that pressure point that has been clinching its teeth tight since that 25 mile endurance ride in S.C. a year ago. It felt like I had been stabbed by an electric shocking device. affraid It hurt worse than my broken wrist many years ago! It hurt worse than hitting the hard ground after flying off Areion when I cracked a rib. It hurt worse than when I grabbed the electric fence barefoot on a dare! It was like a combination of all those things.... Has it worked? So far, yes. The muscle is much looser. I am having it done again this week and taking something to bite down on.

ELLEN:
I was so good yesterday...to a point. We went to Tractor Supply for chicken food and there was an animal sale in the parking lot. I did not buy those cute chickens, guinea pigs, or mini pin puppy in the parking lot. I did not buy the chicks or ducklings inside the store. So we went on to get a load of hay in the next town and there was a litter of barn kittens....My downfall. We brought home the cutest solid white kitten. The litter was ten feet up in the hay in the barn, out in the middle of a mountainous pasture. There were wild animal tracks around the barn in the mud. Once the kittens move out of their hay nest, something will probably get them. I have wanted a white kitten for a long time, and luckily, Donnie agreed we should get one ! We are now bottle feeding a month old, male, semi-longhaired white kitten. No name yet....He is so cute! Kumquat is not amused....yet.

Sunny, I hope all goes well for you.

Ark, I hope the therapy works well and gets things loosened up for you to ride comfortably again.  Yes.  We need pictures of the kitten.  At 4 weeks he must be really tiny.  Kumquat will be more amused when it gets old enough to play with Kumquat's tail.  (snicker)

Graymare, that guy is a Horseman with a capital H.

Today was sunny and warm, and many more people were out with boats.  Travis wanted to go for a boat ride.  Jamie had to go to work.  So he came over to ask me if I wanted to go - mostly to help him keep track of two active toddlers.  He does a very good job of handling them by himself, but it's a lot easier with two people.  It was a really nice ride, and I was glad to be out on the water.

We drove 2264 miles.....too lil time to spend with the kids for the milage....but still nice.

Ellen, sounds nice.........we drove out to the lake and watched boaters and kayaks....

Just brushed the horses.....wow they were shedding.....neighbors cows r out wandering around.....he's not home. can't catch them and woods too thick to try on horses.....he said they would come home........ok.

CB, LOL, walk within 3 feet of my horses, inhale, and cough/sneeze right off.
Ha, wouldn't you think 65 yrs of horses would make me know that?

Spring.........I love seeing them go from furry muddy magpies to gorgeous
shiny magnificent horses. Blessed for sure.

ARK, we're waiting.

And here he is, code named Puff the Magic Kitten until we find his name.   Very Happy

CB:
Wow, that is quite a trip.  My hiney wouldn't recover for a week after that.  We are worried about the kitten not doing his business, he hadn't pooped since we got him.  If nothing appears before tomorrow, it's off to the vet first thing.  We got the kitten replacement milk at WalMart since it was on Saturday and it is made by Hartz Mtn, who I don't trust at all.  He isn't nursing the bottle, we just squirt a few drops in his mouth and he swallows it.  We'll give the fishy food/milk replacement formula a try and get some nutrical stuff.

GRAYMARE:
Well I can officially tell you his name won't be Whitey, hysterical .  Donnie's mother used to name all her pets after colors.  Her parakeets were Greenie and Bluey, her dogs were Brownie and Blackie.  I am sure she must have had something named Whitey before I met her!  The only white cat that Donnie and I have ever had was an odd-eyed white Manx cat we got in Denver in 1977.  The cat never shut up, so we named her Uniblab after the talky robot on the Jetsons.  Good cat.

I will try to think about the kitten while they are electrocuting me tomorrow!  Laughing

ELLEN:
A boat ride sounds like fun!  I am glad the weather has finally improved.  I wonder how BEECH's snow is doing now?

Our horses are shedding like crazy, too.  I brushed enough hair off those ponies to make another one, and you can't tell they are missing any hair at all.

Ark, did you know that you have to rub the little behind to make them poop? The mother cat does that when she licks and cleans them. A damp washcloth works just fine. It's been about 16-17 years ago that we raised some tiny 10 day old kittens when the mother was too sick to take care of them. We had to bottle feed them, and clean them up. It worked. They all survived kittenhood. They were so young we used milk replacement formula for them and fed them about every two or three hours. Puff the Magic Kitten is probably old enough to not need to be fed quite that often.

Lol. lick the butt....I don't think so.....a warm wash cloth on the back part of the tummy usually works....if not don't panic...a lil oil in the milk like corn oil or olive oil will help...and the nutrical usually does fine too....has stuff that helps them go. he looks very cute and I'd probably say closer to 6 weeks from the picture....I was crawling under horses today doing tick cks....even found them. anyone gotz any ideas what to use?

2 more trips this year....next june we r going to alaska if we all stay healthy. we lived there for 4 years, would like to see again.

I looked up hypercalcemia, it says it has several causes, first is the thyroid which is not the case for me then there is family history but I have no clue on that one, but it does need to be treated, worst case is they do dialysis, to taking strong diuretics, either way it is treatable, so I am not worried now the scoliosis is treatable but will require surgery and possible body cast, and my Dr. Will have to argue with the insurance company to get approval which she will if that is what I want I need to think on that one oh forgot to say that hypercalcemia is too much calcium in the blood
Ark, that kitten is soooooo cute, C.B. glad you got home safe sounds like you are going to be one busy lady hope you find time to relax as well tell Chris I say hi and hope she is doing fine and hope all goes well with your brother's auction
