I had a good weekend. On Saturday, my cousin and her family came. He put in my dock and the jet ski lift and did a few other little things. After managing a bank all week, he likes to do outdoor chores that don't require heavy thinking.
Everybody who had a boat of any sort was out on the water.
Sunday and yesterday were both colder and rainy, so there weren't many boats out either day.

Travis will get the jet ski ready for the summer and get it launched. I'm really looking forward to that.

Hello All,

Trinket and Cactus Jack look so sweet. Poor little Trinket with the speculum that is as big as she is. The happy juice made it tolerable. What a Face

I'm jealous of those of you who have been able to start making hay. We have had so much rain without enough time between storms to make hay. I am down to 15 bales of hay. I can let Monster, Tiberius and Lily out in the field to graze for short periods of time, but Sophie can't have any grass. And I can only let the 3 out for short periods of time because the grass is growing like crazy and I don't want them to founder. scratch

I fear that there is going to be a lot of not very good hay this first cutting.

I think I'm going to get new fencing put in. Hopefully this will be the last fence I ever have to install. I got a quote and I've talked to the husband and wife who own the company and do the work, but I don't like their contract. Their company is relatively new and they seem to do really good work, but I think they made up their own contract without legal assistance. They have a couple of phrases in it that I absolutely refuse to sign. I've given them a modified contract to review and told them if we can come to an agreement on the language I look forward to working with them. Otherwise I'll look elsewhere. I hope to hear back from them tomorrow.

Indy, in today's world, a good contract is an absolute necessity. I hope it will work out for you.

FINALLY! The jet ski is in the water. After 4 years, it needs a new battery which will happen this weekend. Then, look out! I'll be on the move!!!! ClappingHands

I have made 6 casserole carriers with one more to go. A trip to the fabric store will have to happen before I can do that.

Indy, are the cottonwoods "snowing" in your area. There is white fluff alllll over the place.

INDYAPP:
I hope the fencing goes well.  What a job, and finding someone to help is a big pain.
We just finished our first cutting of hay this evening.  Donnie and I put up 138 bales from our lower field today and 112 bales from our upper field a couple of weeks ago.   We are done until late August.  Whew!   We were so lucky, we had perfect weather for both fields.  Today was 77 degrees with a breeze, so it wasn't that uncomfortable at all.  Rain tomorrow.  Very Happy   We are incredibly tired, but glad it is in the barn.  I hope you find some good hay, too.

ELLEN:
Congrats on getting your ski-jet going!! wavy   That's got to be a lot of fun!

Has anyone heard from GRAYMARE??

Time to change the calendar.....Can you believe June has arrived?
