ARK, you know we haven't heard from Linda for a very long time. We tried everything, from calling her phone number to sending message after message. Have you ever had any news from her? She certainly doesn't know about Briggy.

So good to see you, Donna.
Thank you for telling us about Briggy.  I liked her a lot.  She was a very sweet person.  She'd always had kidney problems, so that isn't surprising.  It's odd, but I was thinking about her just the other day.
She loved to knit and sent me a pattern she thought I'd like.

About 20 years ago, Linda and I would spend an hour or so in my afternoon/her evening messaging.  She told me a lot more about the UK than I knew.  She talked about how the dogs would work the sheep, and how the puppies were trained.  She told some really funny stories.

Both Briggy and Linda were in Kansas City. We laughed that Linda had come all the way to Kansas City to go to Walmart.

Trudy, that is a very nice memorial.
Neighbor Karen will be coming home tomorrow.  I will help out however I can after all she did for me over the last couple of years.
Yes.  Food is outrageously high.  I don't know how people with larger families can do it.

Ark, take it easy and let that knee heal.
I'm with you on washing dishes by hand.  It's dishwasher all the way for me.  Since it's just me and I don't cook all that much, the dishes sit in the dishwasher for several days before I have enough to warrant running it.  Fortunately, my dishwasher does a really good job.

DONNA:
No,  I haven't heard anything from Linda in many years, since the group broke up into smaller factions.   I hope she is doing okay,  I loved reading her posts about her life on the farm with her boss and animals.   So interesting.  I wonder if she ever wrote the book she said she was working on?  I'd buy it.

ELLEN:
The new dishwasher is sitting in the kitchen. In a box.  I suspect it will be put in place today.  When we moved into our first house that we built ourselves, the place was just a shell.  I told Donnie I wouldn't move into it if it didn't have a dishwasher.   The dishwasher sat in the kitchen for 8 months until we had the kitchen built well enough to put it into place.   So I could admire the dishwasher, even if I couldn't use it yet.....  That's not going to happen to this one!!

Time to change the calendar.  I can't believe it is August already.
