 Hurray you got the right blades back!  Lucky they didn't give them to someone else.    
 I have an air fryer that my sister gave me for Christmas a few years ago, but don't find myself using it.  I do use my InstaPot, though.  I really like that thing!   The air fryer seemed to make things too dry, but I probably wasn't using it correctly.  

ELLEN:
 You are right about all the counter space the new appliances take.  I finally brought in a little shelving unit to put things on.  I love my crock pot and InstaPot, so they get used the most.  I am kind of afraid of the pressure cooker....


Beautiful day here, 76 degrees and sunny.  We took Daisy and Areion in for trims yesterday.  They were good.  Today we'll be unloading sawdust for bedding into the barn.   It's always something!  I am not sure how we got it all done before Donnie retired.

 Yep, gotta love the neighbors who complain about country living!  I guess eventually it will all be paved housing developments.  

Happy Halloween to everyone!d  We don't expect any trick or treaters,  so will enjoy the package of Reeces Cups we got in case someone showed up.   We went to WalMart today and saw lots of cute costumes on adults and college age folks!  A full set of witches from "HocusPocus" was really cute.  They even had the right hair styles.  






I put a hat on Areion one time and Ivan nearly had a heart attack.

Going back to my mother's pressure cooker... it was a devise to be very wary of. I think most of our mothers were more than half scared of it.
I'm not at all worried about the Instant Pot. It has several safety features built into it.
I use it fairly often to poach eggs. On the rare occasions that I want to hard boil eggs, there is nothing to beat it. Those eggs come out ready to shed the shells with hardly any effort.
My neighbor occasionally likes to make deviled eggs and needs a bunch. He uses my Instant Pot accessories and can do 18 eggs in a heartbeat. They come out smooth, pretty and clean.

My grandmother told about blowing greenbeans all over her kitchen's ceiling with her pressure cooker, which probably colors my thinking on them....

That would sure do it.
I don't think my mother ever had a disaster with the pressure cooker, but I know she didn't use it very often.

October is done, time to change the calendar.
