| I heard that Hurricane Rosa was going to add some rain to the southwest. As long as it doesn't all come at once, that should be a good thing. | |

| That's not how it goes in AZ, ELLEN. We get dandy floods and people sand bag their houses, cars float in washes and underpasses.................trees blown over. people don't understand AZ. It's only raining today, the big deluge is arriving tomorrow morning about 4A..............then a real humdinger.
We'll see.................

| GRAYMARE: I missed hearing about Rosa until you mentioned it. I looked up the radar and it sure looks like you are in for some rain. I hope it doesn't do any damage. Stay safe!
ELLEN: Thanks, I try! :-)

| It's been a drizzly damp day. Not too cold, but not a day to play outside. Darn. I was forced to stay in the house and run the vacuum.
How much rain have you had, Graymare?

| I hardly know what to think with Arizona getting a hurricane and having flooding threats. Our latest news is that we finally got my shop/shed/barn building painted … "barn red" with white trim … and I didn't have to lift a finger And while we are in that painting mode, having house windows power washed and painted outside. This due to having some extra $$ from Carol's mom's estate. My next large expenditure is gonna be having roof replaced on the shop/shed/barn building. Its still got original shingles from 1986 on shop/shed portion and from 1993 (??) on the barn portion that has been converted to a woodshed. Im still dealing with men's health issues that started in mid August immediately after mom's funeral in Pittsburgh. Its been a real "goat roping" at times … and Im ANXIOUSLY waiting for phone call that tells me doctor's schedule has been re-arranged and that there is a time period scheduled for me to go to hospital for a biopsy. I'm strongly expecting that there is surgery in my near future, but won't know until after a biopsy. Hoping this can be accomplished before the 19th Oct. when Carol leaves for 8 day cruise/tour around Italy. But ... oh well .... it'll be what it'll be and Im thankful for each "comfortable" day in the meantime. Carol has started getting acquainted with the Kubota and mowing yard. I seem to create health difficulties for myself when I try to mow. Light/short errands and walking dog some are my reasons for getting outta the house. I, too, wonder where summer went and especially what happened to September My love to my Foopy Friends ... Rick | |

| Happy October!!!! My favorite month of the year. WHEW BIG storm here last night. Possible tornado up north I spent most of the night on the couch with Ace panting and pacing. All is quite this morning, waiting for daylight to see if there was any damage. No sign of the Satan lady at church on Sunday. My head was on a swivel watching for her though. Daughter Amy came in early and said in the Veteran way "don't worry I've got your back". My friend who fell after Bible study last week came to the study yesterday. We celebrated her being able to attend. So far this week isn't starting off too bad other than the storm. Off to the VA Clinic with George this morning for his annual check up, then to Sam's Club to get candy for Trunk or Treat. | |

| RICK: Good to see you posting. I am sorry for your health issues, I hope you get the all clear soon. Donnie had to postpone his annual blood test that you are referring to because he has been riding around on the tractor for hours this week and that apparently affects the blood test results. Who knew? He is getting referrals for knee replacements now, I hope to see him walking straight and pain-free soon. He walks like either a drunken sailor or an old cowboy whose life was spent on a horse. He is quite bowlegged. TRUDY: Maybe the strange woman changed churches! One can only hope. Wow. CB: Your post showed up! I was wondering where you had gotten to. Have you left Idaho yet? GRAYMARE: How's the rain going? I never thought about hurricanes in AZ. Is it worse up in the mountains or did you come home to keep your house and horses safer? ELLEN: The lake must be nice with the good weather and fewer summer people around. We are cooler here, but finally dry. Donnie is out fluffing up the hay he cut a few days ago, we may bale it today. It should be nice hay. Lori, my riding instructor, is having a great time in Richmond, VA, helping with the horses on the Harriet Tubman movie. She has been giving riding lessons to actors this week and training a pair of horses to pull a cart. She has been putting in 12 hour days, but having a blast doing it. | |

| Ark, I decided that there must be more retirees living at lake homes this year. There has been more boat activity this year than in other years. Although, compared to summer, it's light traffic. We also had a nice September, and so far, a good October. It was 84° today. Tomorrow will be 60s, then we'll go back up to summer over the weekend.
Rick, I do hope you can get things straightened out so you feel better SOON.
Graymare, has the rain stopped?
Trudy, did your pastor have anything to say that you can share? I'm curious.

| ELLEN: Yes he did, he said the closer a person gets to God, the more Satan attacks, when he finds he can't attack the normal things in our lives like our family, our home, friends, pets all the important things that we used to stress about, he moves on, he creates turmoil in the things we hold dear, Jesus gives us peace from the stress.
Since I hold a leadership position in the church with the Barnabas Ministry, I am open to scrutiny and people who wanted the position can feel that I am not entitled to the position & want to cause trouble. He gave me a couple scriptures to read. Revelation 12:10 and Romans 8:31-38 They bring me peace.
A very strange things happened yesterday. A old girlfriend called me outta the blue and her first words were "Jesus has put on my heart that I should call you, you are in trouble." Could have knocked me over with a feather. We usually talk around Christmas every year so her call was a big surprise.
Jesus is sending His angels to gather around me and keep me safe.
