SUNNY, I hope Kent will start helping himself get well. You can lead a horse to water but you can' t make em drink. Add some salt to his oats… …….. CB, have a great trip, stay safe, and check in when you can. Are you taking the horses?

| Sunny, I'm adding my prayers for Kent.
Yesterday, I had to go to Ohio for my cousin's sister-in-law's funeral. Her last 10-15 years were full of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual pain. She chose to close the garage door and start the car. Though it wasn't unexpected, it's a very tough time for her family. I stayed overnight, visited with my cousin and his wife, and played with their grandsons, aged 10 and 1 1/2, and then came home this afternoon. Neighbors invited me to have pizza with them this evening. So, I'm now home, a little tired, and full of pizza.

| ELLEN I am sorry about your cousin's SIL and her family's pain. She must have felt she had no choices...... You do have nice neighbors! Are the boat docks out in the lake yet?
CB When is your trip? How long does it take to get to your brother's house?
It turned out that hantavirus was not what killed the mother and daughter and put 4 members of their family in the hospital. They had two other things going on simultaneously, pneumonia and a strep virus. Very strange to have both at once.
We go to pick up Annie on Saturday. I am still in cleaning mode.

| Many of the docks are in use now, and the boatlifts are slowly being put in place by the barges that do that job. This last weekend saw lots of boats out on the lake. Our trees are FINALLY leafing out. The leaves aren't quite full size yet, but getting close. However, late winter returned this morning. It's cloudy and 54. boo hiss | |

Thank God he finally went to the hospital. MEN!!! Anyone see the cat that attacked the dog who was attacking her little kid on the news? Way to go kitty cat...don't mess with her kid. We are off to son Kevin's for the day. He needs some dad help digging a ditch around his house. Love & prayers for all...

| I saw that cat attacking the dog. In the news that I saw, they were saying that the mother went to get the dog and he bit her too. The little boy had to get 8 stitches. They didn't realize the cat had saved the boy until the dad was going through the surveillance tapes.
It's going to be another cold rainy day. It rained most of the day yesterday, and most of the night.

| I saw the surveillance video on Facebook yesterday. What a cat!! Makes you wonder how many hero cats are out there whose acts are not caught on camera . I had a cat when I was a kid that I saw jump on a big hound's back and ride him across the yard when the dog got too close to her kittens. That hound was sure the devil had grabbed him. Rainy, rainy day here. No lesson for Ivan or Areion today. | |

| CB, yes. The dog was turned over to animal control and was or will be put down. He attacked the 4 year old boy, grabbed him by the leg and was dragging him. The boy rode his bike in the driveway everyday, and the dog had been around before. For some unknown reason, he attacked. That cat was a black streak from wherever he was until he hit the dog. The boy is autistic and the cat is a constant companion for him. | |

| Thank goodness for his cat. we had adopted a french mastiff from shelter when jessi was almost 3. she had gotten up to potty and when she went back into bedroom he attacked her. he may have been protecting jaemi who shared the room he may not have heard jess get out of bed I don't know, but we had to put him down immediately as jessi,s optic nerve was exposed and if there was any chance of rabies it was awful....even with rabies shot it doesn't prevent it, slighter chance but not one to gamble with. she did wonderful thru surgery had a great plastic surgeon, an army specialist. he repaired her face you can barely see the scars, thank goodness. the kids played with this dog, took him into parades around lots of kids.......we will never know. it still saddens us but it could have been so much worse so we r thankful. I am happy the little boy is alive and that his cat was there.....so thankful. Countdown 5 days and counting | |

| Update on Kent, he is slowly conning around, they dropped his status from critical to improving they are transferring him to a regular room as soon as one becomes available he is still very weak and needs help standing and walking plus he tires quickly, but he is awake and able to hold conversations, his brain is still fuzzy and he looses concentration, it will take a lot longer to fully recover this time, we are hoping he will be released in a couple more days, he may not regain all his mental capacity as he was down to long only time will tell | |

| Graymare, did you see that Rosie is riding Bayern tomorrow? After looking at the run down of horses, after Chrome, her horse looks as good as any of the others. | |

| I'm routing for CA Chrome ELLEN, just because of them being dumb a$$es…..this is a movie already. That said, I am thrilled to see ROSIE on better and better horses………..she will one day have her day to shine winning the Derby.
SUNNY, any more from KENT?
Hi RICK & SNOOP………..you're keeping us smiling for sure.
CB, have a safe trip!

| GRAYMARE: Will do! Eli is looking good! Is he starting to shed his foal coat? Is he going to stay a palamino or is that chestnut peeking out?
RICK: Cats are heroes this week. You can't blame it on the cat until next week!
After 24 hours of rain, we had a pretty, but cool day today. I finally got the Windows washed, the floors mopped, the house straightened up a bit, the barn and lots cleaned, the Spooky cats moved to the garage, and Annie's room back to a human room and not the cats' winter home. We will be off to pick her up tomorrow morning just past Charleston, WV.
Have fun at the big race!
