LOL, gads, CB, I'm worse than you are waiting for baby Harper!
Hey, no foal this year, baby Harper heightens my spirits!

And, you already have 3 other new kids...............LOL

Waiting is getting exceedingly hard to do.....and we r waiting for more kids ...they sure are spread out this year. I'm a mess.....I admit it.

Faith makes some nice babies....

Kyle is second platoon leader now with little over 2 weeks left...he shot sharp shooter and he ready for some freshly prepared food! lol. he has lost some weight, but still likes it.

It snowed today here, it must know you are going home and is going to meet you there....

The peacock pen was nice and dry until this afternoon. Now after melting snow and rain all day, it is back to its slippery ways. We ran over to Hardees for a sandwich this evening and after we sat down, Donnie said "That's the raincoat you were wearing when you slipped and fell in the dome, isn't it?" . I hadn't noticed the back of the sleeves had dried mud up to my elbows. I am so fashionable...

Oh my ARK! I shared that post with hubby and we both had a giggle.....

Would u believe we r still sorting treasures from the 70s....we havnt hung any pictures yet...geesh...we r slooooowwwwwwwwwww....but we r getting there. chris is coming sunday and her room is done and bathroom...the kitchen is clean except for the floor, and I need to vacuum. after fencing and sturdier shelters r up we r taking out the carpet and putting wood or laminate that looks like wood, with the dogs and muck we drag in, carpet is a pain. all takes time and money....when u have time there seems to be no money!

ARK, better wait to clean up the jacket.....we're in some mud here secondary to our rain for a couple of days so I have 3 pr of old sneaks needing to be hosed off.

Ewwwwwww....I hate that mucky mud where it sucks one sneaker right off your foot and you do that flamingo stance!.....while thinking "now what".......bend and find it while standing on one leg which by now is wavering under my weight...wavering he!!....protesting by making me look like I am a slender willow tree with branches wildly waving in the wind....or just make a break for dry land before I go plop in that yucky crap!.................too late....where upon surviving the plop with great indignation, I search for my shoe and crawl to dry ground a mere 2 feet away, finish feeding...start for the house and after stripping off on my front porch head for the shower..with a sign of resignation....where is your husband so he could have done that and wondering if anyone caught it on camera...cuz we would have been rich....and shampoo my hair just one more time....and then maybe another time.....awwwww spring showers bring mud and flowers!
Is that the kind of mudd? hmmmmm

You're so right CB..............same here, but I go to the back porch.
Sometimes clothes are bad enough to hose off first so the washer can wash them.

I slipped today, but was fast enough to grab Isaiah's tail while he was eating hay. Whew, recovered. I did swipe him with the hose but he didn't much care.........Eli might get two more bites of hay than he would.


Cleaned yesterday, oops, day before I think, so off to the store. I
need 2 new gates so I need to go price those, also....and check Craig's list within my area.

I'm at the small town of Clinton, OK for the night. I'll be on the road early in the morning. Not sure where I'll be tomorrow night. Home would be nice, but not sure I want to run that far.

Happy spring. I'll trade you girls 6" of lovely (not) white snow for that mud. AUUGHH it snowed for over 12 hours yesterday. Ruined our plans for the Lenten seafood dinner at The Pine Barn Inn. Hopefully it is the last snow of the winter. Ace was happy, he got to play his favorite winter game snowball one more time, me not so happy to see more snow.

I had a strange experience Thursday night when I took Ace out before bed around 9 PM. A HUGE owl flew right by me and swooped down at Ace, at the last minute he/she must have decided Ace was too large of a target and flew away. WHEW I'm sure that owl is what has been attacking my barn cats. 2 of them have been pretty beat up lately. That's the second time a owl has tried to get Ace. The owl came from around the front of the house at a high rate of speed until it spied Ace. It was pitch dark, but I had the spotlight looking for deer when the owl flew right in front of me, headed for Ace. Ace didn't even see it, he was busy sniffing every blade of grass searching for that perfect potty place. A barn cat or small dog would have been easy prey for that owl. It's survival of the fittest up here on the farm.

Whewwwwww...OL MAN....glad it was lil things and nuthin major like harry pulls on me, I was getting worried! hate it when any one of our foops and foopettes don't post in awhile! you know I'm a regular mother hen.

Went to town and got a few groceries....we leave tomorrow to get chris, figured I better have something for her to eat at least.

Beautiful day here today....doors wide open letting the fresh air flow thru...ahhhhh

Got to Effingham about 6:30 local time. Tomorrow will see me home early afternoon.

Home again, home again, jiggety jog. It was a very good trip, easy driving all the way home.

The lake is still mostly frozen over, but the ice will be gone the first windy day. Of course, we are supposed to get snow tomorrow. But that won't last long. It was so nice to be able to shorten the winter with good friends. We didn't do anything very exciting, but it was nice to be able to wander outside to watch the birds in the backyard wearing a short sleeved shirt.

Oh good news! OL'MAN has checked in and ELLEN is safely home from a nice vacation! I am happy to see both posts!


We are having a nice day here, no rain or snow and partly sunny. I have come to appreciate sunny days a lot. Poor Donnie has caught another bug, his second in the last few months. While he naps I will be out taking care of the barn. I am thinking positively that I won't catch it. Tomorrow I go for a physical therapy appointment for my hip joint issue and don't want another single health issue.

I rode Ivan bareback for a little while yesterday and didn't have a problem. I think Ivan is the best physical therapist I could have! He was so sweet. I feel a bit off balance while riding bareback and he seems to try to keep himself under me. What a guy!

We have had a beautiful weekend but have rain next few days..it will make the pasture grow.

Jessi is having HARPER tomorrow, starting her as she has just run out of room....sooo...I will have a new grand daughter tomorrow. just sign me "excited"

We will leave tonight to get chris, they got a late start this morning.

Think we will take a nap before we go.....ELLEN glad u r home safely and ARK ivan sounds better and better
