 Congrats on the parade, TRUDY!  I bet you guys looked great!  Pix?

GRAYMARE:
 Awhile back Annie asked me if I thought dogs remembered people after they were gone for awhile.  She was thinking of her poodle remembering our dad after he died.  I told her I thought all animals had long memories of those they loved.  That video pretty much proved it to her.  Thanks!

RICK:
 Okay, you can do tall horses.  Can you worm a 30 inch tall mini who can turn herself inside out and backwards to avoid stuff if she wants?      Trinket is short, but not easy if she is so inclined...Luckily she has gotten better over the years.


Today Annie and ran in a 5K race sponsored by the local police department as a fundraiser for the Special Olympics.  It was nice and cool while we ran and the view of the river was great!  We both finished the race, not dead last, but not anywhere near the front runners.   One hill was a killer, but most of the race was level or downhill, thank goodness.  This is the one and only race for me this year.  It completes an insurance agreement and saved me $300 from our yearly cost.  I'd say I was a winner   .  Annie does it for fun.

Way to go, Ark! That's great that you can run a 5K. I think I might have a hard time running 1 meter.   
You and Annie are doing fantastically well.

And lookin good too, both of you. i'm with you EELLEN, don't think I could run. that far at all.....still trying to figure keyboard out...sigh....
We went yard saling todayy and we had the gd's all last week. went to the pool in afternoons....it's been in 90's with very high humidty ...everyone is feeling it...

This was on Facebook (shared by Dot.) and for some reason it kinda/sorta made me think of our old friend HT and some of his shenanigans  and funny comments.  I wonder what pearls of wisdom he would Have said about this one?  LOL!  Rest Easy my friend...you are NOT forgotten..lol!

I do miss some of the silly things HT dreamed up. I think about he and Candace so often.

You will not believe our evening last night. June went out with a bang. Remember a week ago a truck came off our neighbor's hill into our yard and smashed into our truck. Well, last night another pickup truck came off the same neighbor's hill and smashed into our house! It was just after 11pm and we had just left our t.v. room and were getting ready for bed. A loud crash happened that sounded like a tree had hit our roof. The wall our tv as on was smashed inward and the 46 inch tv was on the couch we had just been sitting on. Concrete dust was in the air and rubble from the drywall and concrete block wall beneath it was in the air. There is a pickup size hole to the outside.

We made sure we were all okay and then ran to the truck looking for the driver. No one was there. Donnie thought the driver might have fallen out and ran to search for a body in the bushes. No driver. It turned out the owner of the truck had parked at his dad's house and gone inside, apparently not putting the truck into 'park'. The truck took off on its own down their yard, across the road and thru our bushes. It missed trees on both sides of the road, missed our propane tank, and hit our house.

We have lived here for 14 years and never had a vehicle run into our yard. Now it has happened twice in one week! We feel like we have a target painted on us....  

The truck owner is the son of the man whose girlfriend hit our truck. This family has demolished three pickup trucks and the side of our house in one week. At least they haven't killed us yet.

My computer is amongst the mess in the tv room and I can't use it until we clear the rubble.
