Ann Sam now you are scaring me! Whats with the broom, I thought Witchypoo was our resident witch on here! LOL

WHEW..the wind is blowing hard here....but no tornados at least...thank goodness.

Tommorrow and next day we are to have thunder boomers with rain....figures, hubby is home, and the weather is just CRAPPY...grrrr...

I saw our fox this evening. First time I have seen it. It is a grey one and it was running down our driveway at dusk. He isn't too big, looked a bit bigger than a cat.

Well, our internet woes just got worse yesterday. Verizon announced to us that since they 'upgraded' their system, they can't give us service any longer. Nice after using them for 3 years. It has happened to others on our road, too. So I am now on Donnie's Blackberry attached to my computer in the evening to catch up with things on the computer, and on the Kindle just to read things mostly, but not post much. There is a new provider who says he is working on the tower that will serve our area....after Donnie builds an antenna tower in our yard...and when all is said and done, it will be much better service than Verizon's. We shall see..... Rolling Eyes

Pretty weekend here. I rode Ivan twice. We need to build up some strength if we are going to go on the NATRC ride in late May. Ivan will do fine. I am the one who needs some energy!

Rick the video was hysterical. I had people coming in my office to see what I was laughing at so early in the morning.

Dang CB, my guess of the 21st just might happen at this rate.

My legs and shoulders ache today. Spent the weekend doing yard work and I only got the front yard done. Rolling Eyes

But before I could do the yard work had to get a new battery for the lawnmower. Then had to get new spark plugs. Wonder what will be next confused

Candace J Brown – Conrad
December 20, 1950 – February 23, 2012 (Obituary published 2/28/2012)

A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 21st for Candace J. Brown- Conrad who lost her battle with cancer on February 23rd. A time for visiting and remembrance will be held at her farm, Sapelo Appaloosas, in Bristol, IN beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until what will be one of the longest eulogies on record as friends and family are invited to tell others how Candace touched their lives followed by the spreading of ashes at 1:00. Those with horses are encouraged to come and ride the Horse Playground Candace built in honor of her love of Everything Horse.

shoot, I hope not Indyapp...but you may be right! Nuthin yet! and the goats were in the shed every time I looked out last night....Yesssssss....that tells me at least last night the wolves were not close!

I got my youngest grand daughter a lil 12 inch western saddle last night, saw it on craigslist. We want each of the girls to have their own saddle where the stirrups are set just for them and they can learn to care for their own saddle.

Grocery store run and then packing to do...lil bit by lil bit...

Pretty day here today. We worked on Areion's feet a little, but no riding on Ivan today. I have a few folks coming over on Saturday to practice Actha style obstacles. I hope we don't get too much rain before then, parking trailers will be a problem.

Ruth is a POA of uncertain age, maybe 7ish? could be older, not really sure. Vicky does ride her when her friend is home to ride with.

That is good that 2Pony has a horse again to ride...it is worth all the work to climb aboard and forget the troubles for aw hile...hope she enjoys her a lot.

Shorty, (LYN) who posted on here once upon a time, isn't doing well, she is losing her biggest battle of her life...we are preparing for the sad news....but can you ever do that? I don't think so.

IndyApp, I hope the love pours out for Candaces' service...she was good to horses and people. and a HUG to HT..we sure arelosing too many of our friends to cancer nowadays...

Speaking of losing our friends ..... there seems to be only a very few of us posting these days .... I expect everyone is busy doing all things Spring ... but, we would like to hear from everyone..... Very Happy

I am still here just real busy with Kent I have taken him back to the emergency room three times this month and the latest was on the 12th he was peeing straight blood and it scared him so much so I took him in and found out he has a bad bladder and kidney infection, the first anti biotic they put him on was not meant for his spacific strain of infection so had to get another perscription and had to borrow the money from my daughter, he is still waiting for all his applications for dissability, and or S.S.I to help with bills until he either gets better enough to go back to work or stay on dissibility we have now gone two months with no money, and it is getting serious, we are both frustrated and hope that it gets done soon, sorry about venting but I don't have an outlet for my frustration and it does help to talk about it and sometimes I think of something I didn't think of before so thank you for listning, I know things will be o.k. just extremely worried,

Sunny, you can vent here, we are all listening. I know that you don't have a lot of people that you can just "spill it" to so take advantage here, we can all handle it. Sorry to hear that Kent is still having serious probs. Good for your daughter to step up with some cash to help out. Yes it seems that any government program that is supposed to help out when times are tough take forever with forms to fill out, questions, appointments, meetings, more mail, more forms, doctors certificates, etc etcx...hang tough Sunny, I hope that your health does not suffer from all of the stress.

It sounds like you have a really tough row to hoe right now, and I sympathize. Hope the paperwork gets sorted out soon and that Kent's condition improves dramatically and quickly. We are all sending good thoughts and will be here when you want to vent.

Sunny .... listening is one of our strong suits you know. Vent to us any time you want to. Sorry you are having a hard time right now (sounds like "hard time" is an understatement) and hope that things get straight soon. What I found out was that if there weren't so many people trying to cheat, then it wouldn't be so hard to get help. Sure makes it hard on the ones who are legit!!!! ((( )))

Yes, Sunny vent away. I just got my first bill from my hospital stay..to be truthful I was surprised just how much medicare actually paid. I will not have to sell my soul to pay of my part of it. Now waiting for the doctors bill to come and see what she charged me. Also waiting to see when I can get a portable o2 unit so I can be free of this tanks. I am not good at waiting.

Raining here again today. Wish it would let up for a day or two so I can get the lawn mowed before it is as tall as the house.

had a really nice fun visit with Shorty today! She was awake and alert and laughing...was so nice to see her like this again! I hope she has more good days to come.

TICKS! affraid

I had two ticks on me this evening, one attached really deep on the back of my leg. It took Donnie a good half hour to dig the darn thing's head out. That terrible hay I bought last fall was full of ticks and now they are becoming active again. I know my barn must be full of them. I am going to have to fumigate the barn or something.....

I watched a movie the other day called "Princess Stallion", made in Scotland about a wild white stallion. The 'wild stallion' reared up at the end of the show and revealed that not only was he NOT a stallion, but had the nicest set of shoes on his front feet. I guess we weren't supposed to notice that.
