In those years OLMAN, we didn't have much grain in AZ………….however, wherever we could get corn, we did. Horses were thin and really fit……………..Arab horses were very fuel efficient and didn't require the grain rations other breeds did………….good to see you here………say "hi" to Virginia……..

Hi cb---tell H to "hang in there"
I still take a bale of hay and 50 lbs oats and have feed store add 10 lbs of mollasses (tic) and grind it up. Do this for years-----. One of my books says 1 percent of horse weight half grain and half hay daily/

Yest was funny. Early, around 9:30-10A a bunch of little girls, around 6-7 came screaming down the road on bikes with one mom with them. They were in PJ's and freezing, riding as fast as their little legs would peddle. It was about 42 so chilly. They had a sleep over up the road and the mom was riding with them safely home. Ha, Mom said "hi" on the way by and said she was freezing. LOL It was cute to say the least.
Then yesterday was band practice next door. The kids are now 14-15 so actually are getting good. The drummer really has it together and the lead guitar can rapidly pick about with the sound good now.........I think they're fun to listen to.......neighbor on the other side, not so much..........LOL Hey, it's beginning to approach music and those boys are never in trouble.
THe twins proudly were yelling at me over the fence and told me I didn't need to be scared. One was in his Spiderman suit complete with helmet...........the other in cowboy hat with 6 guns......... holy cow, they're too much fun. They LOVE ELi & Iza..........
Then on the other side, there are now 2 new horses.............So , all are having fun...........
Today is football day....Cards vs SF.......so far, we're lucky.............
God bless. Everyone have a great day.

We lost………….but then, we played terrible football. Interesting how that goes…………..
Hey, I have Spiderman and his Cowboy sidekick guarding everything so we're set here for 2015!

Graymare, it sounds like you are well-protected by superheros. As for the neighbor who doesn't appreciate 'music', I've decided there are a lot of grouches out there who can't see beyond their own likes and dislikes. She can't understand that having kids not involved in music or band or whatever would probably mean a lot more trouble for her. I've been asked if the late-night snowmobiles bother me. Nope. Not at all. It just makes me laugh. A bunch of young people out having a good time, not hurting anything, and I wish I was young enough to be out there with them.
CB, I hope you finally get moved and settled for a long while.
Ark, where are you?
I had a very nice Christmas with my cousins. One of them gave me one of those waffle makers like you find in hotel lobbies; it flips half way through. I tested it and made a very nice waffle. I was able to cut the recipe to make just one, which is a very good thing. Of course, we all ate too much. I did manage to come home with a cold, which I would have happily returned, unused, to whomever gave it to me. Too late.
The lake froze over night before last. We probably won't see moving water again until April.

GRAYMARE Your neighborhood sounds great! Those kids have to be cute in their super hero suit, . And think of all the de-spooking your weanling gets!! That was one good thing about where Ivan spent his first three years. His owners had kids, dogs, and liked to shoot guns. Ivan is tolerant of all those things, although was scared to death of adults.
ELLEN I am here! I keep track of the website everyday, although have not been posting much over the holidays. Donnie has been busy doing wiring, and now some sheetrock, during his 'vacation'. The man never sits down....I think he is anxious to get that room finished so he can get the t.v. he has picked out. Our carpenter has been absent most of two months and we are tired of waiting on him. Anyway, when Donnie is busy, so am I...
We had a nice Christmas. Glad you did, too! Waffles sound good!
It has been raining/drizzling/spitting snow for two days. I did ride Ivan a bit on Saturday, he was good for a horse who hasn't done much in weeks. Lori is coming here on New Year's Day for lessons and I hope to ride Areion then. My resolution for the year is to ride her as much as possible.
Anyone else got any New Year's plans or resolutions?

Mine is to not make a committed resolution……………………….cleaning out more stuff that hasn't been touched or used for two years……………..I've organized a few items for a garage sale and what doesn't sell goes to Goodwill.
LOL………..Resolutions for 2015? ARK, you must be jesting………………
