ACCKKKKK we have SNOW this morning...I was hoping the weatherman would get it wrong like he does most of the time but nope....it's here. It was 60 yesterday with lots of wind..oh well, don't have to leave the farm today so let it snow. The farmers have been complaining about no snow pack this year.

We had our little church group at one of the ladies who belongs to the group yesterday, instead of at church. She had a kidney stone operation and can't get out of the house, but wanted to attend the meeting so we moved it to her place. She was very excited about having us there. She has to have another operation on the 31st. They are doing one kidney at a time because of her MS. Say a little hummmm for her Dee James.

ARK: I heard of feeding the pumpkin to dogs before. My daughters vet recommended it for her dog with tummy issues. A little Pepto can't hurt either. when Ace was having all those tummy issues my vet recommended Zantac 75. it's over the counter.

GRAYMARE: Can't wait to see the tea table. It sounds really cool...

CB: Send some of that warm weather up here.

Trudy, you know i would if i could, just for you! That wAs nice to have your meeting at her house, will give a gum for Dee. 
Overcast, but warm here today, lookin dreary tho. Rain in forecast tomorrow, am hopi g it gets far enuf north to put out the fires. Those folks are in a real tough battle. Not seeing much on our news tho...ive wondered why.?

All I have to say is BRRRRRR! It's 25° and with a 20mph wind. Not a nice day to be outside.

Typos...my fat fingers on a teeny arse keyboard. At least its like a game to figure out what im trying to say...which is probably useless crap chatter anywho.

If weather is nice, hauling jessis horses to a playday tomorrow....finally some horsey fun stuff.

BRRRRRRRRRR it's cold and more snow on the way next week. At 6 AM my lilac bush was covered with snow and not looking good, by 1:30 the snow was gone, thanks to the wind then another snow storm blew in at 1:45...just as Ace & I got back to the house...what a day.

CB: You should get one of those stylus pens to use on your small keyboard. I have one and it is great for use on my phone or tablet.

My favorite TV show is back. Little Big Shots...with Steve Harvey. It is so funny. Sunday night on NBC. If you like kids it will have you in stitches..I knew you meant hum not gum although Dee probably would like gum too. LOL

Disaster at 5 AM. My son's truck broke down on his way to work. Nothing like a 5 AM phone call and a panicked kids on the other end. Thank God he lives in the country, 3 guys stopped to help him get it off the road and back to his house. Gotta love them good old country boys.

 The cowgirl cafe is slowly moving along. I am really slow at getting the pictures up.  Now I have scrub brushed and pressure washed the mule table.  I will paint it tomorrow.  Ha, I can only do one chore at a time...........

CB:Happy birthday a little late. Darn it, I had it on my calendar too and forget to mention it. Sorry.

Went out to dinner with some old horse friends last night, we haven't seen them in a couple of years. They are into minis now. They have 14 of the little buggers. So cute and easier to take care of than the full size horses. Ace is almost as a big as their horses. HAHAHA

My "friends" tortured me by eating chocolate cake for desert. That's OK, I'm strong and I ate carrot cake instead.

Full moon last night. How beautiful. Cold this morning. Dressing warm for church this morning. Gonna wear my shamrock socks.

I wish i could post pics here...i can to other horse sutes, but the gurls have tried here and they are pretty good at this stuff, and cant figure it out....but there is a cute picture of harper in her first playday on her mini, molly, on facebook. They said they stole the playday! Pony walked so pretty in the arena, and h
ad kids crawling all over her yesterday. Harper had the queening wave down pat!
Randi says kyle is getting serious over a gal he has met and she has dibs on molly for future grandkids...lol. everyone loves her and her very calm and sweet nature.

Well we r cooking out for lunch, as jessi has to go back to school for nco leadership academy this afternoon. She gas one more week and then graduation. Having birthday cake today. But i guess id better arise and get busy...wish i had a nose i could wiggle and make like a good witch! Poof.

Graymare, I was laughing about your friends making plans for your walk-in tub.  I think you should post an admission price list.  $3.00 per hour for just water.  $6 per hour for hot water.  It's another $2 if they don't bring their own towel.
What a fun bunch!  

CB, Harper looks perfectly happy sitting there.    A good pony is valuable for little kids like that.
With all the leftover food, you can keep celebrating for a few more days.  

It's still cold around here, and we are expecting several inches of snow overnight and into tomorrow.  My poor tulips.....  If they make it through all this, it will be a miracle.

Trudy, I'm so glad you reminded us of "Little Big Shots". That 12 year old girl from the Philippines is truly amazing. All of the others were just sooo cute.

 More snow coming?  We have been kind of lucky.  We've only had a dusting from one of the two snows predicted last week.  This coming Monday night they say we may get 2 inches of it.  We could actually use the moisture, the ground is getting a bit dry.  We got the wind they predicted last week, though....


Ivan and Areion got their daily exercise yesterday while Donnie was down at the barn.  He took pix.  I am trying to get them in better shape while not getting to ride them much.  I think they are getting stronger.  Areion is recovering faster than she did earlier.  Now if I could just get myself in shape.  I pulled that blasted muscle last week and when I rode Ivan on Friday, the muscle screamed painfully.

Do you take a tylenol before you ride, it might help. When i was giving lessons, i had some very nervous, tight muscles on my timid riders. They took 2 tylenol before riding, it really helped. When i was riding long distance rides, id also take tylenol or aleve, helped my muscles a LOT.

Ellen, hope your flowers make it.  Molly is such a good mini. Harper rides by herself at the house, but there was a lot  going on at the playday. This was her first barrel race.

Waiting on the snow to arrive tonight into Tuesday and Wednesday. Oh boy can't wait. We haven't had a real Nor'eastener for years. Businesses are canceling their appointments, schools are being called off already. The road crew trucks are loaded with salt and cinders and ready to roll. The stores are jam packed with people buying up every loaf of bread, all the milk and toilet paper. Crazy....it seems like they have never seen snow before. Everyone is in a shopping panic, like they are going to stuck in their houses for weeks.

CB: Gosh that was the cutest pony picture. I can't figure out how to post photos on here either so don't feel bad about not being able to do it.

ARK: Your horses look in pretty good shape to me.

GRAYMARE: Keep painting...waiting on a look at that table. I keep wishing for a walk in tub...Maybe someday when the adult kids grown up and don't need monetary help any longer. Darn broken down vehicles...if it ain't one kid with problems it's another one with car issues. What a crazy bunch of friends you have. LOL

ELLEN: How is your wrist healing? Loving those Little Big Shot kids. They keep us laughing.

Thanks for asking, Trudy. My wrist is doing very well. I'm just working on rebuilding the strength. Only a little bit of soreness when I move certain ways. My knitting technique is back to normal.

I laugh at people who act as though they are going to be snowbound for weeks when a little snow shows up. We are getting a little bit of snow this morning, but so far, only about an inch or less. The radar map looks like it will end in a couple of hours.

Cricket the cat would like for the snow and cold to go away. It's as if he is tired of hibernating for 23 hours a day and wants to get out and go look around.

I think its good folks are preparing to stay off roads and be safe. I remember the noreaster in 93, no power for 5 days. I had to make sandwiches and heat soup on our kerosene heater, and we all slept around that only heat source. Keeping things cold was fine, just sit it outside. We had to tie ropes to get to the barn becuz the snow had drifted up over our house. All govt and all businesses were shut, no school, no grocery stores for days. My girls had never seen snow like that.

This happened times when i was a kid, but we had wood stove for heat and cooking, kerosene lamps...the road grader that was plowing roads got stuck in a drift. The driver walked to our house where he stayed for 3 days. 
I cant find fault with folks wanting to be prepared to  care for families. Better to have what you can make do with. 

They do show folks get carried away sometimes....but im the one getting stuff in but i try to do it before the crowd gets rowdy.
