| TRUDY: I read an article awhile back that said mama deer don't stay with the baby much when they are new so that predators won't smell the mother and get the baby. She is probably not far away. It said that most orphan deer babies are really not. So your baby should be okay. CB: What is the trip to Texas about? Why the quick turn around? Stay safe out there in the hot! I had a very nice lesson on Areion this evening. We waited until about 6 pm so the arena was shaded. It was much nicer than in the full sun. Areion was not spooky, thank goodness! Evening rides have been spooky in the past. Our anti-spook device is having Daisy tied in the "Spook Corner" with a net full of hay to keep her busy while we have our lesson. Works pretty good! Anyway, Areion and I seem to be getting better at communicating. We had a fun time doing patterns with circles and figure eights. I rode Ivan for his 15 minutes of therapeutic walking before I rode Areion. He is doing fine. It will be another month or so before I can take him on a slow trail ride. | |

| I went back last night and the fawn was gone. Momma must have moved him to a safer place. Checked again this morning and no fawn. YEAH....Ace had no trouble dashing up the hill last night or this morning. Guess he wanted to see his little friend. I'm sure he was thinking "so finally I got to touch one of those strange animals that run away thru the fields when they see me coming".
We had a huge rain storm Monday afternoon. Luckily I went into the kitchen to talk on the phone (cause George has the TV on 95 so he can hear, so can anyone outside the house), and I heard this tink tink tink noise coming from the pantry. Hung up the phone, opened the cupboard door and WOW it was pouring in. Luckily I had one of those small electric roaster sitting there, I tore the lid off and managed to catch a roaster full of water. WHEW..dodged a bullet there. Had to take everything outta the cupboard. What a job...The storm didn't last too long but it sure dumped down a lot of water. All the local roads were flooded, the amusement park had to shut down, it was flooded. What a mess..All the people by the creeks yards were flooded. Spent yesterday cleaning and reorganizing everything in the pantry. On top of that our daughter Missy lives in Stevensville Maryland where a tornado touched down. It missed their house. Thank God...what a Monday...

| Thank you all so much for your prayers for my neighbor. The CT scan did NOT show anything in the pancreas! There is still some abnormality in some of the ducts, but no mass. They will still do an endoscopy to investigate. He starts radiation for his prostate cancer on Monday. 44 sessions. Hopefully, that will take care of everything for him for a while. | |

| ELLEN: I am so glad Pat's diagnosis was better than expected! I hope the treatments go well, too. That is one of my favorite commercials! I like the soft sell type of commercials so much better than what we usually see here in the U.S. Those horses were so funny . Donnie trimmed Ivan's feet this evening. What a difference it is to trim him now than it was for so long. He stands there without being bribed and lets Donnie work on his feet. Donnie is good at it, but not real fast, it takes about an hour to do Ivan. I used to go thru a lot of treats to get him to be good that long. Tomorrow he gets ridden again for his therapy. 20 minutes at a walk now. | |

| Okay, more unnecessary drama here! I had a very serious car accident on the 15th after pulling 3 senior, neglected, girls from a kill shelter in Lexington, SC. Within 12 miles of the Rescue, a lady (and I'm using that term loosely) breezed through an intersection, texting we think. I hit her drivers side wheelwell. I remember nothing. All airbags and side curtains deployed. Many, many, bruises and contusions, severely broken and crushed left wrist, surgery for wrist was the 20th. Doc says it will heal but will probably loose a lot of strength. My Honda CRV saved my life but was completely totaled. My precious cargo had no injuries!!!!! Police told me in the ER that I was not at fault whatsoever! Thank you God for all our lives. Had to share ambulance ride with the "lady" she laid on the only gurney and texted all the way to the hospital!!!!!! Sorry, but I got an attorney! I want her to know how miserable I am and not able to ride Jack all summer Hard to type one handed so wii write more later. Prayers going up for all! ' ''" 0 | |

| Good grief, ROSE. I am so sorry about your accident. I think people texting and driving should be jailed and lose all phone and driving privileges for many years. You are so lucky to be alive, although your pain must not make you feel too lucky. I hope you heal up quickly. | |

| Oh, Rose! I'm so sorry! Way too many people are simply addicted to texting and their phones. It's ridiculous. I sure don't blame you for getting a lawyer; go get her. As for the wrist, don't give up on regaining almost full use and strength. Mine was broken in January, plated and screwed. It was inconvenient for the first couple of weeks when I had a partial cast on it and typing was slow. But it got better. Now, 6 months later, I would say it is about 95% of normal. I did do my own rehab, which included flexing and extending, and knitting as soon as I could. The strength is almost back to what it was before. I can lift 40 pound bags of water softener salt. I'm praying for a fast and complete recovery.

| ROSE: Oh my gosh...How terrible. People who casue accidents should lose their license forever, just for being so stupid. Thank God the accident wasn't worse and poor dogs were not hurt. Good for you getting an attorney, she needs to pay big time for your pain and suffering that she has caused because of a stupid phone. Praying for healing and the strength to return to your wrist and hand. | |

| Please send up a few prayers for our pal GDOLMARE, her house was flooded during the last rain storm.
And my neighbor's son (20 year old)Marcus, he was in a ATV accident and is in ICU, broken bones and on a breathing tube. Not wearing a helmet. So far no internal injuries. He was always flying by our house on his ATV, standing up while riding, never wearing a helemt. An accident waiting to happen.
Trouble all around us. Keep praying my freinds.

| Kids always think they are so much smarter than "old" people, and they are immortal. I wonder what they think that seat is for. I'm sorry he was so badly hurt and hope he makes a quick recovery. It won't replace special belongings, but maybe Gdolmare's insurance will help with repairs. There is a lot of bad stuff around, but here's a video that will make you smile. It's been around before, but still fun to watch. www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/eqEkPjUbmIA?rel=0 | |

| My sincere sympathy for GDOLMARE.............and prayers for returning to normal. That's a real bummer.
ROSE, how's your wrist? AND, how's the lawyer doing as far as getting a new car and your lawsuit? I hope you're at least feeling well. Report in.
CB, where are you? In TX or ID?
Pizza and salad day...................
God bless.

| Today is Ace's birthday. He turns 8. Where did those 8 fun filled years go? My puppy is almost turning into a Sneior Citizen. He can quailfy for AARP now. LOL
We are off to the VA Center to help another Veteran aquire his VA benefits. He was a doctor in Nam and has never filed for anything until now. I'm betting he has a real case for PTSD. His sister served with him as a Missionary Nurse. What a team they were.
Have a great day everyone...

| Rose, how are you doing? Trudy, how do you like your new AC? Is it quiet? Does it cool enough? I feel like I am free today. I finally finished a baby outfit for a baby who arrived about 4 weeks ago. For some reason, I kept making mistakes and having to take it out and redo so it took longer to get it done. It should have taken me about 2 weeks; it took most of 4. (Part of that time was when I had a house full of cousins.) It is boxed up and ready to be mailed today. I'm going to play today. | |

| ELLEN: We love love love the A/C system. We put in 3 wall units that all run on the same system and they are wonderful. We can cool the entire downstairs with the units in the kitchen and living room and the bedroom unit takes care of the bedroom, bath and hallway upstairs. We keep the upstairs back rooms closed up and the extra big bedroom closed as we don't use those rooms. Should have gotten these years ago. What a difference and so quiet, everyone that comes in the house is impressed with them.
Well this morning I was off to my favorite place. Yes, the dentist...I have a tooth that has been bothering me the last couple weeks and I have been putting off the inevitable visit. I need a root canal...I KNEW it...darn it, can't get a appointment with the root canal specialist until the 15th, so I'll baby it along until then. Luckily it's a tooth that already has a crown so that expense won't come into play this month. Plus I have a cavity in the tooth next to it so I'll get that done when after they do the root canal.. UUGHHHHH I HATE my teeth.

| Thanks for the information, Trudy. So far, my AC is hanging in there since the guy put some leak-stop in the line last year. But, I'm sure it's living on borrowed time. Are your units just for cooling or will they do heating too? I'm glad to hear about the quiet part. The fan that goes with my furnace and AC is LOUD. My house is small so the return air and fan open into the hallway, only protected and hidden by a large vent grate. | |
