| INDYAPP I am so sorry about Thunder. Not much about animal care is harder than that......(((((((((Indy))))))))).... It is good you found her so she didn't have to suffer too long. SUNNY Put a space between the two parts of your username. Should work, I was able to log on as you with that and the password I sent you. Email me if you still have problems, we will get it worked out! RICK I can't see the video on my Kindle, but I am guessing it is the one of the cat doing agility obstacles like a dog. I love that! I want to know what treats that woman uses! Really great cat! Ivan and I have a date this coming Saturday to ride with Ed and Amelia again. I guess I didn't slow them down too bad after all We are going to do the New River Trail this time where the footing is good and the trail is flat. I will have no excuses not to canter with them this time....gulp.....I do think Ivan travels well with them, so we should be okay to go faster. I hope the weather is like today, sunny and in the 50s!! | |

| INDAYAPP: So sorry to hear about Thunder, she is with all the great horses have left us and are running pain free in Heaven.
ARK: What great photos of your ride. As a horseless person, I really enjoy your horse photos. Ride on girlfriend..Glad you found someone Ivan can relax around and have a great time.
So sorry to read about Carol. She certainly will be missed here on Foopville.
GRAYMARE: Thanks for the update on Carol, I wondered why she hadn't been posting lately.
RICK: What a kitty cat that was. WOW a pole bending cat. That cat ran the pole pattern better than a lot of horses I have owned. Amazing.
CB: Glad you are getting settled in again and maybe for the last time for a little while.
Only about 60 more until SPRING...stay warm everyone. Spring is on it's way.

| Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement. I know we did the right thing, but still...it's hard. I'll have my own little herd waiting for me. I've had to put down 6 horses over the years and 4 of them were over the age of 20. Three of them I had either for all of their lives or pretty darn close to it. Maggie I got as a 3 yr old. I've always said "Once they get on my property, they're here to stay." The other 2 were over 10 and I had raised them from foals. I've still got 3 to keep me busy. When spring gets here and the ice is all gone, Sophie the Wonder Horse as SAPP would call her is going back to school for a refresher course in driving so I can use that cart I bought at auction last fall. You know, the cart I bought and put in storage immediately and forgot to take a picture of?
Everyone have a Great Day.

| Oh boy, INDY. I can't wait to see the cart.....and you & Sophie buzzing about the countryside! Spring is just around the corner, right? Of course, that means the heat will be on it's way here in AZ........equal and opposite climate obstacles, but having horses is the pay off in either climate. Hang in there, your horses are lucky to have you!
God bless. Every one have a good day!

| Indy, do you ever hear anything about Chris Brown? She should be about 95 if she's still living.
For some reason, Rick's last pictures didn't come through. After that other quilt, I'm really curious to see what she's doing now.

| ELLEN, Chris just had her 90th birthday on the 7th. I sort of hear from her. I say sort of because I'm on the mailing list to receive her periodic newsletter that Donna sends out. It's usually a couple of pages of pictures showing some of the things she's been doing like going to a parade or making a gingerbread house with family members. Never a personal note though. I drop her a note every now and then along with a card just because, but I've never heard back from her. She seems to be very happy which is good. I miss her. Oh, darn now I'm crying.

| It looks better on a person than it does on the hanger. The off the shoulder sleeve doesn't hang well on a hanger. I finished it late yesterday and wore it to go get groceries. It is very nice and warm. | |

| That is beautiful, ELLEN!! It looks just like the pattern. I like that type of knitting, although haven't done anything near as complex or anything at all for that matter for years. Looks great! Now we need a photo of you in it! Congrats on a great piece of work!! GRAYMARE: Your little baby is growing up....and is gets prettier every month! I love the photo of him! Has he done anything funny lately? How are the neighborhood kids doing? SUNNY: Well, that's a relief! You got back online! How is the weather down there? We are about to get some rain/sleet/snow tomorrow night. Yippee....not. RICK: Those are beautiful birds! I had a chance to buy a white male peacock once, but had two blue males already and couldn't have another male. They fight like roosters if there are peahens around and they are confined. I do think the white peacock photo is gorgeous, but wouldn't have been too thrilled with him stomping on my grape hyacinths! Great photos! INDYAPP: I hope you are feeling better today..... I do look forward to pix of you and your cart! Well, Ivan did a cute trick yesterday. He ran thru a 6 foot gate, dodged the gate that was slowly closing, and ran right into the opposite gate post. He hit it so hard he knocked it out of the ground, broke two fence rails, tripped and fell upside down tangled in one of the rails. Luckily, he only got scraped along his side where he hit the gate latch and a couple of scrapes on his rear legs. He now has racing stripes down his side. It was a pretty spectacular crash, but thankfully, he is okay. There were tufts of hair all around, but he mostly just shaved himself without cutting into the skin. He did this about 30 minutes before Lori showed up for our lesson, so he didn't get one since I wasn't sure how badly he might be hurt. He is bouncing around as usual today. Areion got a double lesson again this week, one for her and one for me on her. I posted a video on FaceBook, but don't know how to get a video on YouTube to post here, so if you want to see the video, you will have to get on FaceBook. Sorry about that. It just shows a minute of us trotting. Areion was fairly tired after Lori cantered and trotted her all over during her lesson, so was pretty mellow when I got on her. I had to push to get her to trot, she wanted to just mosey along. It is strange to ride a horse whose 'go button' isn't on all the time like Ivan's is! Today I am fighting a little cold, dragging around a bit. I was moving haynets out of the arena while the horses were anxiously awaiting their dinner in the barn while Donnie was moving hay into the barn. I threw a haynet over the arena fence and a big carabiner attached to one of the haynets swung around and clobbered me on top of the head. I didn't quite see stars. ....Daisy came up looking concerned, nudged me, and said: "Food?". Such a sweet mare..... | |
