| Awww, CB. I'm so sorry about his attitude. He didn't seem to mind having you around when you were teaching the other kids to ride. Is he trying to isolate your daughter from all her family? That would be very concerning. Is she sending you pictures? | |

| CB I am sorry you can't go see your new granddaughter yet. I have seen that happen in other families. I think stress just gets to them after a new baby arrives..... So far, there hasn't been an official statement made yet about the little boy's death. I think it was just a terrible accident. We've been reading up on it and over the past 10 years, about 900 people have died in septic tank accidents in the U.S. The tanks made in recent years are not all made of concrete with heavy lids. Many are plastic with lightweight plastic lids that are supposed to be bolted on. Some are not bolted, or are damaged by mowers, and will sometimes flip over when someone steps on them, then flip back in place after the person drops into the tank. Last summer, a 3 year old dropped into one in another state and was only saved because her uncle happened to be looking at her when she disappeared. I think this is a terrible situation that needs to be spotlighted and remedied. Those lightweight plastic lids need to be replaced. They are death traps. SUNNY I am so sorry about your pain. Vent away. The least we can do is listen and send you cyber hugs... I hope your doctor is able to help you soon. A friend of mine had what sounds like similar pain and had surgery to relieve a pinched nerve in her neck. She is doing well now. Maybe that is what you need? It is cold. We had light snow last night and it never got very warm today. Having just been 74° a couple of days ago makes tonight's 19° seem very frigid! I hope this is Winter's last gasp tonight. We went to see 'Home' at the movie theatre this afternoon, along with a huge herd of kids . There is a cat character in it and the man behind us was obviously a cat lover! He was more fun to listen to than the giggling kids . It was a cute show. | |

| AWWWWW. I'm up irrigating for another 1 1/2 hrs. Our weather got quite warm today at 88......sunny and nice, tho. Our temps generally aren't that high right now but no rain in sight now for a couple of most so it's back to irrigating. We don't get our choice of time so this time our area is night time. Actually, in the summer I prefer night time as the sun isn't out. The horses wondered what in the world I'm doing out there this time of night and, of course, hoping for a big dose of hay. LOL, I just tossed a little to be nice.......... SUNNY, I wish I had any ideas for your back. Have you had injections yet? For some they help a lot, for others not so much. They worked quite well for me for quite sometime. Also, PT. Do you go to PT? Your ins should cover it when prescribed. Maybe you could look up a few gentle back exercises on the internet. I put mine off for ages but a glad I finally had surgery (two laminectomies, neck and lumbar). It takes quite some time to get it all back together but with work and time, I'm as good as it's gonna get. LOL, you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear but have good feelings in my legs and arms/hands. Interesting how genetics for arthritis are so different for everyone. Keep us informed about your MRI results and we will keep rooting for your healing and your sugar controls. As life moves along, everyone has something............ (((((((((hugs))))))))) | |

| RICK Very cute pony! Must be an exceedingly cold place for a pony with that much hair to need a blanket! I have one for Zippy, but His Shagginess never needs it. I put it on Cactus Jack once and the poor donkey thought he was hog tied. He would not walk, he was frozen in place. I had to remove it to get him to move at all. Donnie was out on his tractor yesterday moving Manure Mountain around so it would compost faster. The oldest pile is ready to be spread on the hayfield. That will do away with half the mountain! We mowed the pony lot and behind the barn to get rid of scraggly grass already growing. It looks much nicer. It won't be too long before hay making season is upon us so we are trying to clean up branches and stuff before the grass gets going too much. No rest for the wicked! | |

| Ark, is the grass actually growing yet? It's been so cold here we have nothing resembling green yet. Today was an improvement with temperatures in the high 50s and sun most of the day. The migrating loons are here for a couple of weeks. One of them spent a considerable amount of time preening before he disappeared. Every so often, he would dive and disappear for 20-30 seconds at a time, and sometimes come up with a fish. I have no idea where they come from or where they go, but I'm glad one or two will choose this lake for a rest stop each spring.

| ELLEN Yes, the grass is greening up nicely. It isn't very tall, but enough that I have to worry about how much the horses are getting. I don't want any sore feet this year. We were mowing scraggly stuff to even things out and get rid of taller dead grass and weeds where the horses don't usually graze. If the weather cooperates, the hay should be ready to mow in 6 or 7 weeks. It was about 60° here today, but so windy it felt chilly. Donnie finished moving the compost piles around and they look as well as a mountain of crapola can look. Brush burning comes next. I went to the physical therapist today. It gets a little more intense each time! I think it is helping, though. | |

| Those were cute, RICK! I haven't had a flying horse incident, but sure have seen the view from the last photo enough! Time to change the thread, April is here at last! March came in like a lamb here and was windy enough last night to say it went out like a lion. Happy April!
