I'm so glad they were found in good shape! Great news.

CB, do the kids in Idaho have their water fixed yet?

In this weather i would have worn a jacket and called it good over fastening a bra.... and not thought twice about doing it.
We have narrowed down our rv search, (we think) down to 2, one a jayco flight, one a heartland trail runner...which has lots more storage and an outside kitchen. Both have 2 slide outs, one in living area, kitchen and one in bunkhouse area.
Still pondering mightily.... tongue
Windy city today, cant keep a hat anchored nohow....no whichway... affraid

CB, ours is a Jayco which we have been satisfied with.  It holds up well, very little maintenance............routine upkeep.

Boy, windy here and real cloudy.....no real rain yet, just sprinkling.
I brought horses in and tossed hay so they're set til about 7P our time............then regular night feeding.  When it pours, I'm ready.

Nothing new here right here..........

Oh yes there is.  I had been talking about a pressure cooker way before Christmas.........my husb bought me one so it's chicken & noodles tonight................I'm still reading the manual.  ELLEN's chicken noodles in her snow storm sounded good, so I thought I'll try that in our rain storm. Rex says "yum", LOL

Jayco is made about 30 miles from here.  My cousin had a fold-down by Jayco.  He had very little trouble with it.  When it was 10 or 12 years old one of the lift cables broke.  Jayco replaced the whole lift system at no charge at all.

Ooooo. Dinner at Graymare's tonight will be delicious.

CB, friend is having a ball w her mule..............learning to ride, takes lessons, etc and so enjoying him. She has  a whole bunch telling her what to do.  She finally figured out to ignore them.  That took her awhile but she has her own game going now.  LOL, she has bought and sold two saddles and is now learning enough to not pay attn to others. She is doing her own thing. Headed to Bishop for the week in May w some mule cronies.  She just wants to see & do all she can.  She can't wait to see the 20 mule team in action.  Wish I could go.

Gently raining here............46.  Big winds coming this afternoon with downpours according to the weather news. We shall see.  Boy, my arthritis sure knows it's humid and damp.

ELLEN, no chicken noodles here, yet.  We decided on Sunday during that coming storm.  The kids wanted me to wait as they want it fresh from the kettle.................

Well, I need finish up the barn.  Going to lunch for Mexican food with the Blah-blahs.

Oh, another friend headed for chemo, so pray for Tina, please.

Everyone have a good day.  Enjoy.

ROSE.
Check in please.  Another friend told me about a book that sounds just for you.  The book is Hope In Every Raindrop about dogs called Carolina dogs.....Shadow looks just like that type of dog.  I don't remember the author.  I've never heard of them but it seems they have a South Carolina history.

No matter who you voted for or against, the USA has the longest history of peaceful transition of power that we can all be proud of. The Inauguration was a good show.

My dentist appointment went well. I have a certain bacteria that lives in my mouth. It regroups about every 3 months and causes havoc. It's a type that can't be removed by normal brushing. It forms a film on my teeth and then works it's way up to the gum that is already weakened. There is one tooth that has a problem. I have 3 alternatives. One, have my teeth cleaned every 3 months and take antibiotics when it flairs up, 2 pull off the crown and see a root specialist (there may be a crack in the root that keeps causing the irritation, it may not even show up cause root cracks are very difficult to locate) and get a new crown put on, 3 pull the tooth and get a bridge. Right now I'm going with the least invasive. Teeth cleaning and antibiotics as needed. Plus Activia...to combat the antibiotics intestinal attack.

We spent the day watching the Inauguration What a exciting experience. Never watched one before. There sure were some beautiful equestrian groups & Veterans groups in the parade. A high school band from Murrysville PA was in the parade.

Trudy, The Black Horse Troop from Culver Academy is an Indiana school - about 40 miles from me. They've been in almost every Inaugural Parade for years and years.
Did you see the balls? I could probably live for two years for what those gowns cost. And they were beautiful.

Rain, rain, rain, all day and now into the night.  Water everywhere.
Horses in with plenty of hay.  We're having snow in the high country and a lot of rain down here............a big recipe for flooding.  Here, we're fine.

We went out for dinner with friends, 10 of us.  We had delicious Mexican food and all traded around.

Addendum (forgot to send last night):  Rain stopped in the night, blue sky, windy,  moderate clouds, 46 here.  Up north roads are closed, 2 feet of snow.  We so need all this water.  Anyhow, we have another storm coming in around 4P................LOL, horses out in the mud.........happy happy eating hay.

I'm continuing to read my instructions for my pressure cooker.

Everyone have a good day.

Graymare, I don't know what brand of pressure cooker you have, but check youtube for videos.  There are some good ones with good explanations.
I just looked up some recipes for ribs. That might be my next adventure.

TRUDY:
Wow, never heard of your tooth problem before.  Doesn't sound too easy to solve.  I hope the antibiotics and such work!  I take a probiotic every day, you can get them in the vitamin dept at Krogers or Walmart here.  There are a lot more active bugs in the pills than in the yogurt.  It keeps my innards working! Very Happy

GRAYMARE:
Wow, what weather you folks are having!  Parts of California are really getting slammed.  Good luck with the pressure cooker!  I lost some parts of mine when we moved, I should replace it.  My sister loves hers and uses it all the time.  YouTube is her favorite instructor, too.

We are in the midst of rain here now, too.  It was so pretty yesterday, though.  Today was cloudy all day, but it didn't rain until after dark.  This was good because we took Ivan to Pandapas Pond Park for a trail ride with Lori and Tonto and her dog, Chase.  It was a really nice ride, although we did run into more horses, dogs and joggers than usual.  Only a couple of bikes, though.   Ivan was in mellow mode and we had a very pleasant time.  The woods are beautiful there, even in winter.  The only unpleasant part is the first half mile or so where you can see and hear the highway and the gun target range on the mountain across from the park.  After the half mile, all is silent and nice.    We rode 5 or 6 miles and when we got back to the parking area, we ran into Jane the endurance rider and her Arab gelding, Albert.  It was nice seeing them.  They were just heading out when we got back.
My terrible muscle was on good behavior, too, and didn't hurt a bit today! ClappingHands

Windy here, too, CB but your wind is stronger, I think..............our next storm is due in late tonight. Right now cloudy & about 50. In the mountains 1000's without power.  Flooding around the valley, but not right here.  The ski resorts would be happy except the roads to them are closed........It's now around 11 so they might be open up there by now.

Chicken n noodles are cooking as I type.................will report later unless the house explodes from the pressure cooker.  I have to laugh, this thing is simply put on the pot and push a setting............

ARK, what great pictures.............you & Ivan look great.

Everyone have a great day.

CB
I am sorry you are selling Rocky.  That must have been a very difficult decision.  I am also sorry you never made it back east to do those rides you wanted to do.  Ivan has finally gotten to the point that I can ride him with other horses and not have him die of an anxiety attack, this would have been a good year to come ride with us.

GRAYMARE:
So how long does it take to pressure cook chicken and dumplings?  Sounds like a good meal!  My sister cooks up chicken in her pressure cooker, then cans the meals in  quart jars.  Then she just opens and reheats the meals and has a quick dinner.  I should be so organized.... Rolling Eyes   I missed out on that gene.   I do use my crockpot fairly often, but that's about it.

It has rained all day here, sometimes not too hard, other times a good drencher.  The mud has overtaken us.  There isn't a clean horse to be had anywhere, just look at those pix of Ivan and Albert.  White or grey horses are all shades of brown. Smarter people have brown horses to start with.   We haven't gotten the terrible thunderstorms that are occurring south of us, though...thank goodness.  It's supposed to rain tomorrow, too.

Here is a photo of that dirty Ivan making some kind of statement about how he feels about things:

January 2017 - Page 5 Ivanto10

BTW:
I have been posting all my recent photos with the icons on the posting page here. None are hosted on Imageshack or any other host.  So I will try to explain how you can do it, too.

Click on the  first little t.v.  It will bring up a little screen.  Click on the green "Select Files" at the top. That will take you to your computer photos on your computer.  Click on your photo and "Open" it.  That will upload your photo to the screen.  Then click on the little blue box with the arrow pointing up.  Then click on the box that says 'Insert all".  January 2017 - Page 5 Dianei10 And ta-da! Your photo is posted here!

Try it, I bet you can do it, too! Very Happy

YES, I am bummed this morning. I gave up and went to bed at half time. I knew we were not going to win the game last night, so it wasn't a surprise this morning. Oh well...

Good for the Falcons, I'm hoping they win the Super Bowl, they deserve it after the way they have been playing this year.

I talked with my brother and sister-in-law last night. Sally told me all about the funeral. So sad. Jack was wearing his jeans and Harley shirt and hat. They had his leather Harley jacket hung by the casket. The music was Pink Floyd and the very last song they played was Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd. A fitting send off. At the last song his son Jack David put Jack's leather jacket on and stood by his dad with his back toward the people. As they went into the other room, they could hear the Harleys start up. Jack David and Jack's best friend Gary lead the procession to the cemetery, How sad. Sal said they are doing OK, but Jack's sister is really taking it hard. She & Jack were estranged for years and only reunited when he got so sick.

ARK: Every time you post those photo of Tonto I think of my Maxx horse, I swear he is his twin. Makes me smile. I tried to do the photo thing but no photo came thru. It's probably my crazy computer, it has a mind of it's own and refuses to allow me to do things other people can do.

I'm off to the eye doctor this morning. I think I'll need new lenses my eyes are getting worse. Darn this old age stuff..I don't like it one bit. Mad

TRUDY, wow, just so sad for that family.  The service sounded beautiful.

ARK, I can get the TV open but does the photo have to be in a file or can it be dragged from photos?

No rain yet here today, but it's coming.  I can feel it.

ARK, the same chicken n noodles can easily be made in a crock pot.
Because the crock pot is slower cooking time, only put the noodles in for the last hour if on hi or last 2 hrs on low.................the pressure cooker is fast.  I used the manual setting and pushed the button for 5 minutes.  The pressure takes about 15 minutes to reach full pressure and I let it vent release the pressure on it's own.  It was about an hour  I think.  Once it went to "vent" I was outside.  It may have been 45 minutes.  Then the pressure cooker automatically goes to "keep warm"
Seriously, it so easy........my family will be sick of it by May when we go to the mountains.  Ha, then my mountain friends will get to share all the fun...............I'm going to "perfect" 3-4 recipes and all potlucks will be one of the 3...........it will be "you choose" potlucks.

Everyone have a good day.
