Trudy, there is a small horse in butler pa looking for a new home for free. his owner has cancer and can't care for him now. diego is 8 yrs old, if you know of anyone.
Sorry about your crappy weather, that is why I won't live back in my home state..the four years we came back we had a nasty n'easter and drifts over our house and without power for 5 days....no thanks!
A hug for your friends, its a tough decision but its our last act of love for our pet we can do. still hurts tho.

Yeah, my brother will probably drive me crazy...but he's my brother, he ain't heavy...well maybe sometimes! most times....ok...all the time.....smoking is an addiction but people can and do quit, he won't try anything to help, so I can't help him and I just have to realize that....ill help him for other stuff.....and keep on lovin him.

Asking for some hums and prayers please, Jessi went to hospital, she is in labor, its too early...I say she is due march 17, her doc says april 1.....oh boy, am worried. hoping they can stop labor for a few more weeks...

Contractions slowed but not stopped. she has an infection as wbc is up, and doc says there isn't much room left for baby to grow too much more. jessi is small built....its a waiting game now....thanks for asking.....I'm on pins and needles...hate waiting...

We ended up with 8 or so inches of snow.  Plenty.  Donnie used his snowblower and made paths everywhere while I cleaned the barn.  We are outside a long time, but the temps went up to the high 20s, so it didn't seem so bad.  At least it was sunny!  I even took the blankets off the horses for a few hours, which they seemed to appreciate.  

The chickens are still in my bathtub, and now my old peahen is getting weak.  She is about 20 years old.  She is too big for my bathtub, so I am going to try putting a lot of hay in her house tomorrow with Styrofoam board under where she is now sitting on the floor instead of roosting at night.  It should help keep her warmer.  Thursday's high is predicted to be 7 degrees with -11 overnight.  

I took some photos today.  You can see Daisy's new nose notch.  It is healing up pretty well.  It looks smaller now.  She was unhappy I was taking pictures of her nose instead of letting her out of the stall.

Good news, jessi is home sleeping, buts that all I know at this time....

CB, I'm guessing there'll be no more running for her for a few weeks. Keep us posted.

Talked to jessi and she caught the flu and when throwing up so hard she went into labor. the doc told her she can return to running when she felt up to it. I told her to do a brisk walk! she says she will have it in march as doc says she is too small so if she goes into labor in first part of march....he will keep her going....but who knows! dr. said by march HARPER should be over 4 lbs and is not worried.....gramma will worry for them all!

Cold today and tonight...brrrrr. doxies got gravy and chicken on thier food today...yummmmm....panda got some on his head and they were all licking him to pieces! lol he survived just fine but he didn't think they were funny, he was ferociously growling......but he got over it ! silly pups! horses and goats got extra hay and grain! they wuv that grain!

Everyone is doing fine but I can't help hoping spring is around the corner...

That is good news, CB. I hope she's pretty well over the flu now, or at least better.
Next door Travis' sister has a beautiful little blonde girl named Harper. I think it's a neat name.

I hadn't realized harper was so popular, wow....I wonder where it came from...a movie. or book....hmmmmm

HARPER Lee wrote book TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD and was also made into a movie.

I'm thinking it must be something more modern where this younger generation have heard the name since there are so many who have used the name recently and they are probably close to same age ill be betting.....I will have to askk jessi and y'all do some sleuthing to and ask....we will get the answer to this mysterious question , soon....go forth foops and foopettes and seek the answer I am searching for..thanks.....

Cold and frosty and cold and cold.....the animals including the doxies r all out side checking it out, they must not mind the weather too much.

Travis' sister is about 30, and definitely fits into the yuppie category.  She is due to have another baby sometime in March. It will be interesting to see what she names this one. If I remember right it will be a boy.
But, I have noticed that a lot of younger people are using some 'old-fashioned' names, as well as some very unusual ones.

Yuppie, jessi is 29....so must be from tv show or movie, these yuppie tend to not read a lot, too busy. I will ask next time I talk to her, I am not going to wake her, she punches thru the phone....

CB, glad Jessi is going to be fine, our weather is quite cold also, it is only 47 here now and by 10 p.m it is going to be in the 30's by morning they say we will be 27 but then by Friday we will be 80 go figure, it is also verry windy which makes it feel colder my daughter said that they are going to get 1 to 3 inches of snow she is excited to see it everyone stay warm and safe
